Loss of Lives After Eating Cherries: Another Tragic News

Rahime Derin, the wife of Ahmet Derin who passed away after consuming cherries in Tosya, Kastamonu, has also lost her life in the hospital where she was being treated. Rahime Derin struggled for 11 days but ultimately succumbed to her condition. The couple had fallen ill after eating cherries in Karabey village on July 1 and were hospitalized. Ahmet Derin had passed away on July 3. There is suspicion that the area where the couple ate the cherries was sprayed with agricultural pesticides about 15 days prior. This raises the possibility that the couple's illness could have been caused by poisoning.
