Kiev's Refusal to Accept Soldier Corpses 'Unprecedented' in History

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova strongly criticized the Ukrainian administration's refusal to accept the corpses of deceased Ukrainian soldiers. Zakharova stated that this situation is a first in history.The Ukrainian administration rejected the humanitarian initiative made by the Russian Ministry of Defense to hand over the bodies of Ukrainian soldiers.

There has never been a structure or social group in history that has not accepted the funeral of its own people. I'm not even talking about nations, this is unprecedented.

This situation shows that even in the periods before the emergence of the heavenly religions, people never left their deceased tribe members on the battlefield. The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that this move once again proved that the Ukrainian side views its own soldiers as 'expendable material'.
