Retired Police Officer Dies After Tick Bite

A retired police officer, Ahmet Kökçü, has lost his life after being bitten by a tick in Tokat's Zile district.Kökçü was bitten by a tick while at his summer house in Tokat. After falling ill, he was taken to Zile State Hospital by his relatives.Following initial treatment, he was transferred to Samsun due to suspected Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF). Despite all efforts, he unfortunately passed away. Kökçü’s funeral was held in Akören village, Suluova district, Amasya, and he was laid to rest.
