Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu Explains Why His Istanbul Program Was Canceled

CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu announced that his program scheduled for today in Istanbul has been canceled. Kılıçdaroğlu explained that the reason for not attending the program was due to the atmosphere that had formed, making it more appropriate not to physically attend the Ashura event. Kılıçdaroğlu stated on his social media account that he never considered using any faith as a tool for politics. He emphasized that he would not allow the most special times of the Islamic faith, such as the month of Muharrem and the day of Ashura, to be used for political debates, tensions, and propaganda.
