The Life of Kazım Koyuncu is Being Adapted into a Film

The life of renowned Karadeniz music artist Kazım Koyuncu is being adapted into a film titled 'Kazım Koyuncu: Yarım Kalan' for the first time. Young talent Cem Yiğit Üzümcüoğlu will portray Koyuncu, while his father, Cavit, will be played by Cem Yılmaz. The film is directed by Özcan Alper, who has won awards at national and international festivals, and co-written by Alper, Murat Uyurkulak, and Erman Bostan, with Joerg Gruber serving as the cinematographer. The film also features the participation of world-renowned makeup designer Jekaterine Oertel, who has worked with prominent actors such as Cate Blanchett, Keanu Reeves, Jeremy Irons, and Franka Potente. Oertel will create a special prosthetic makeup and character design for Cem Yiğit Üzümoğlu. The film's cast includes Ayça Bingöl, Şifanur Gül, Bige Önal, Aslıhan Kapansahin, Baran Bölükbaşı, İlker Sami Kılıç, and Onur Durmaz. 'Kazım Koyuncu Yarım Kalan' is set to be released on January 1, 2027.
