Passenger Bus Accident in Kayseri: 1 Dead, 22 Injured

A passenger bus traveling from Hatay to Giresun in Kayseri's İncesu district collided with a lighting pole before losing control and overturning. One passenger lost their life, and 22 were injured in the accident. Passengers stated that the driver was speeding, while the assistant's warning to fasten seatbelts before the accident saved lives. The accident occurred on the Niğde-Kayseri highway in the Saraycık Mahallesi area. The injured were taken to hospitals in Kayseri for treatment.Passenger Ali Bayram recounted the accident: 'The driver was speeding, and he took the turns too fast, as if he was asleep. I was sleeping when the accident happened, and I woke up to the sound. It overturned in an instant. I was saved thanks to my seatbelt.' Another passenger, Mahmut Akgün, said, 'We got on the bus in Adana. It crashed into barriers and trees before overturning. The bus was full. We managed to get out through the window. Thank God, the assistant had reminded us to fasten our seatbelts about an hour or two before the accident, which saved us.' The accident resulted in a long line of vehicles on the Niğde-Kayseri highway, which was closed to traffic.
