Qatar's New Decision: Maritime Traffic Resumes

Qatar has resumed maritime traffic after a week-long suspension due to military operations in the region. Authorities announced that all sea vessels can resume their journeys starting today. The Qatari Ministry of Transport made an announcement regarding the resumption of suspended activities. The statement indicated that a decision was made to completely resume maritime transportation for all sea vessels and ships. The Ministry called on all individuals and institutions to comply with the existing regulations and instructions, as well as to ensure that all safety and security equipment is present and complete for all journeys. The Qatari Ministry of Interior had previously announced that one person was killed and another injured on June 28 when shrapnel from military operations hit a boat in the sea. The Qatari Ministry of Transport had announced the day after that maritime navigation and some maritime activities were suspended nationwide, except for large-scale commercial ships subject to international maritime agreements, until further notice.
