Drone Attack in the Black Sea: Crew of NADEZHDA Ship Evacuated After Attack

The General Directorate of Maritime Affairs under the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure announced that a Ro-Ro ship was attacked by a drone in the Black Sea and the crew was evacuated. The 'NADEZHDA' ship, which was traveling from Novorossiysk to Samsun, was attacked by a drone approximately 20 nautical miles off Novorossiysk. There were 22 crew members on board, including 13 Turkish citizens. The crew, who were safely evacuated to Novorossiysk Port by Russian naval units, are being closely monitored for their health.

According to the conversation with MRCC Novo, it was learned that the sailors on board were safely evacuated to Novorossiysk Port by Russian naval units. Initially, it was reported that the health condition of 3 personnel may be severe. The fire on the ship is ongoing, and due to the ongoing risk of drone attacks in the region, a rescue operation cannot be carried out.
