Security Measures Taken on the Black Sea and Marmara Coasts

Following the Meteorology General Directorate's strong wind and high wave warnings, beaches in some provinces on the Black Sea and Marmara coasts were closed. In Bartın, Istanbul, Trabzon, Sakarya, and Tekirdağ, beaches were temporarily closed to protect public safety. Red flags were raised to draw attention to the warnings. Authorities called on citizens to strictly comply with the warnings. Extraordinary meetings were held by the Provincial General Health Boards and district governorships, and decisions were made.
