Caucasus Legend to Perform in Turkey: Kabardinka

The Kabardinka State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble, invited by the Circassian Association of Caucasus, will perform in Turkey in September, bringing a centuries-old culture to the stage. The ensemble will take the stage in Istanbul and Ankara. Founded in 1933, the renowned group will showcase traditional Circassian culture in all its glory. Kabardinka performs Circassian folk dances with flawless precision, faithful to their origins. The performances are not just dance shows, but a magnificent 'dance theater' that tells the story of Circassian ethics, history, and nobility. The ensemble's repertoire includes original choreographies that reflect the physical strength, lifestyle, inner world, and elegance of the Caucasian people. Dynamic male figures symbolizing the warrior spirit are combined with the elegant and noble poses of the women. The dazzling costumes on stage are faithful copies of historical Circassian garments, with men wearing kalpak, silver belts and women wearing handmade silver and gold-embroidered dresses, offering a visual feast to the audience. These captivating performances are accompanied by live Caucasian accordion and lively drum rhythms.
