Change in Public Transportation in Kadıköy: Last Stop of 13 İETT Lines Changed

Within the scope of the Kadıköy Square Pedestrianization Project, the decision was made to remove the bus terminals at Kadıköy Pier. With the regulation accepted by UKOME, the last stop of 13 İETT lines will be moved to Uzunçayır Pier Area, while 9 bus lines will be removed from service. Additionally, 26 lines, 286 vehicles, and 2,461 daily trips will be withdrawn from the Kadıköy Pier area.The decision accepted by the Istanbul Transportation Coordination Center (UKOME) aims to reduce bus density and alleviate traffic flow in the Kadıköy Pier area. With the new regulation, the bus terminals in the area will be removed, and many İETT lines will start serving from Uzunçayır Pier Area.Within the scope of the regulation, the last stop of 13 lines serving Kadıköy will be changed to Uzunçayır Piers. The İETT lines whose last stop has changed are as follows:These lines will provide two-way free bus-to-bus integration with the UK-coded Uzunçayır–Kadıköy line to be put into service. Also, the route of the 14CE Çekmeköy–Kadıköy line will be rearranged to serve between Çekmeköy and Dudullu Metro.
