Critical Appointments Made in Gendarmerie and Coast Guard Commands

Following a decision signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, significant changes and promotions were made within the Gendarmerie General Command and the Coast Guard Command. Within the Gendarmerie General Command, 7 generals and 18 colonels were promoted to higher ranks. Those who were promoted to the rank of Major General include Ünsal Bulut and Murat Bulut. The appointment and promotion decisions within the Gendarmerie General Command were published in the Official Gazette. According to the decision, the promotions will be effective as of August 30th. The promotion of 18 colonels to the rank of Brigadier General also drew attention. A total of 78 generals and colonels had their duties changed, with Gendarmerie General Command Deputy and other high-ranking commanders being assigned to new roles.
