Lizard Rescued from Forest Fire in Izmir

A forest fire broke out in the Gökdere area between Bornova and Buca districts in Izmir. The fire spread to the nearby woodland area. While firefighters were responding to the fire, they came across a lizard that had been affected by the smoke. The fire started in a grassy area near the Izmir ring road and spread to the woodland. Firefighters from the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality responded to the fire. During their efforts, they noticed a lizard that was weakened and immediately provided it with water. After its condition improved, the lizard was released back into the wild in a safe area.
