Evaluation of the Meeting Between Italian Prime Minister Meloni and President Erdogan

The leaders of Italy and Turkey met within the scope of the NATO Summit. Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed increasing trade volume and mutual investments between the two countries. The leaders reiterated their joint determination to strengthen cooperation in strategic areas such as defense industry and space sector.

The leaders also discussed key international issues of common interest, including Ukraine, the Middle East, Iran, and Libya. In particular, they agreed on the importance of strengthening cooperation in the fight against irregular migration and human trafficking in Libya.
