Istanbul to Expect Heavy Rain and Strong Winds

A warning has been issued for Istanbul for the upcoming weekend. With temperatures above 30 degrees, heavy rain and strong winds are expected between July 22-26. According to the Istanbul Governorship, based on the evaluation of the General Directorate of Meteorology, intermittent rain and thunderstorms are expected from July 22nd. The rains are expected to be effective in the western districts of the European side in the afternoon and in the entire city in the evening. Winds from the north and northeast (poyraz) are expected to be moderately strong, with gusts of up to 30-50 km/h, and occasionally reaching 40-60 km/h on Saturday. Temperatures are also expected to drop significantly from Thursday, falling below the seasonal norms by 2-4°C.
