5 Istanbul Districts Take Measures Against High Waves

Five districts in Istanbul have banned sea entry due to high wave heights. Extensive security measures have been taken in Şile, Beykoz, Arnavutköy, Eyüpsultan, and Çatalca to ensure public safety. Police, gendarmerie, coast guard, law enforcement, and lifeguard teams are patrolling the coastal area. Citizens are warned not to enter the sea by lifeguards while they spend time on the beach. Citizens comply with the ban and enjoy the sun on the beach. Coast Guard teams conduct inspections in areas close to the beaches and bays. Citizens state that they are not entering the sea and are only sitting on the beach for leisure.
