İstanbul Bans Fireworks and Torches to Prevent Forest Fires

As of today, the sale and use of fireworks, signal flares, torches, and similar combustible-explosive materials are prohibited throughout the city.The purpose of this ban is to take necessary measures against the increased risk of forest fires due to rising temperatures in summer and to protect life and property. The İstanbul Governorship has asked citizens to refrain from using these materials, especially in wedding celebrations and similar organizations.The ban will be in effect from July 16 to October 28, and inspections will be increased by law enforcement and related public institutions.Those who do not comply with the ban will face legal action. The Governorship emphasizes that the aim of the measures is to prevent possible forest fires. It is crucial for citizens to be vigilant and comply with this ban.
