Use of Fireworks and Torches Banned in Istanbul
The Governorship of Istanbul has banned the use of fireworks, signal flares, and torches between July 16th and October 28th. The decision aims to ensure the peace, security, and well-being of citizens and prevent irreparable damage. This measure is particularly important during the summer season when the risk of forest fires increases. In the announcement signed by Istanbul Governor Davut Gül, it was emphasized that a more cautious approach is needed to mitigate the risk of forest fires during the summer season. The Governorship requested that necessary measures be taken and legal action be applied to those who do not comply with the ban.
