Sea Entry Banned in Istanbul
Due to strong winds and high waves in Istanbul, bans on entering the sea have been imposed in Beykoz, Arnavutköy, and Sarıyer.The district governorships of Beykoz, Arnavutköy, and Sarıyer announced that the decisions were made within the scope of Law No. 5442 on Provincial Administration and for the purpose of protecting life safety. The Beykoz District Governorship announced that entering the sea in the beaches, beaches, and bays on the Black Sea coast will be banned for 5 days between July 23-27, 2026.The Arnavutköy District Governorship also announced that due to high waves, entering the sea on the beaches in the district was banned on Thursday, July 23. The Sarıyer District Governorship announced that the sea and beach entrances of Kısırkaya Public Beach will be temporarily closed until the end of Thursday, July 23, based on the latest meteorological evaluations.
