3 Siblings Die in Tragic Accident in Istanbul

A tragic accident occurred in Istanbul's Sarıyer district yesterday, resulting in the loss of three siblings' lives. The siblings who died in the accident were identified as Yusuf İçen (4), Mehmet Ali İçen (11), and Ecrin İçen (13). While the treatment of the injured continues, the truck driver Emrullah A., who was taken into custody, claimed 'I did not see, I pressed the brake but could not stop.' The accident occurred on the Sarıyer Uskumruköy route in the direction of Edirne, where a light commercial vehicle with 8 people on board collided with a cargo truck with the license plate 06 ESG 182. Due to the collision, the light commercial vehicle swerved, causing injuries to those inside. Following the notification from bystanders, fire, gendarmerie, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. After medical checks, it was determined that Yusuf İçen, Mehmet Ali İçen, and Ecrin İçen, who were in the light commercial vehicle, had lost their lives. The mother and father of the three siblings, Sözdar İçen and Yasin İçen, were also seriously injured.
