10% Increase in Public Transportation Fees in Istanbul

Following a 10% increase in public transportation fees in Istanbul, the price of a full electronic ticket has risen from 42 lira to 46,20 lira. The monthly subscription fee for 'Mavi Kart' has also increased from 3,298 lira to 3,628 lira.Similar increases have been seen in metrobus and other public transportation vehicles. The fare for a one-stop journey on the metrobus has increased to 33,08 lira, and the fare for a journey between 1-3 stations on Marmaray has risen to 37,40 lira. The taxi starting fee has increased to 71,94 lira, and the distance fee per kilometer has risen to 47,92 lira.According to the 'Public Transportation Fee Regulation' accepted by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Council, the full electronic ticket price has increased to 46,20 lira, the student ticket price to 22,55 lira, the 'Mavi Kart' monthly subscription fee to 3,628 lira, and the student monthly subscription fee to 653 lira. The fare for a one-stop journey on the metrobus has increased to 33,08 lira, and the fare for a journey of 34-43 stops or more has risen to 68,59 lira. The fare for a journey between 1-3 stations on Marmaray has increased to 37,40 lira, and the fare for a journey between 36-43 stations has risen to 82,17 lira.The fare for the Üsküdar-Eminönü sea route has increased to 58,52 lira, the fare for the Kadıköy-Eminönü and Kadıköy-Beşiktaş routes to 65,21 lira, and the fare for the Bostancı-Adalar route to 171,89 lira.The taxi starting fee has increased to 71,94 lira, the distance fee per kilometer to 47,92 lira, the time-based fee to 598,90 lira per hour, and the short distance fee to 230 lira.In minibuses, the short distance fee, also known as 'indi-bindi', has increased to 43 lira for distances up to 4 kilometers, 45 lira for distances between 4-7 kilometers, 46 lira for distances between 7-11 kilometers, 47 lira for distances between 11-15 kilometers, and 52 lira for distances between 15-20 kilometers, while the student fee has risen to 28 lira.The school bus fees for distances between 0-1 kilometers have increased to 4,456 lira, and the personnel service fees have risen to 2,512,99 lira.
