Israel's Attacks on Lebanon: Houses Demolished, Set on Fire

The Israeli army demolished several houses in the villages of Mansuri and Mecdel Zun in southern Lebanon, and set some of them on fire. According to the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA), these events occurred despite the ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel.Lebanese Prime Minister Nevaf Selam described these attacks as a "serious violation of international law and human rights". He also considered Israel's justification of the demolitions due to the presence of "Hezbollah's military facilities" as "illogical". The Lebanese army reported that Israel's attacks prevented the army from deploying in the area and the people from returning to their homes.As a result of the Israeli airstrikes and occupation that began on March 2, the Lebanese government announced that the number of displaced people in the country exceeded one million. The ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel, which came into effect on April 17, has been extended several times. The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that 4,335 people lost their lives in the attacks carried out by Israel since March 2.
