Three Pregnant Palestinian Women Held in Israeli Prisons Under Harsh Conditions

The Palestinian Prisoners' Society has stated that among the 93 Palestinian women held in Israeli prisons, three are pregnant and are being kept under harsh conditions, including starvation.The conditions of pregnant women Emine Tavil from Kalkilya, Dana Cevde from Nablus, and Menar Ibrahim from Ramallah, who are being held in Israeli prisons, are described as extremely difficult.It has been demanded that these pregnant women be released immediately. Additionally, it has been noted that the poor treatment, starvation, and tough interrogations they are subjected to, without regard for their special health conditions, have led to deterioration in their physical and mental well-being.Most of the Palestinian women are being held in Damon Prison and are under constant isolation. It has been emphasized that Israel's continued detention of pregnant women under these conditions is a clear violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention and international law.The Prisoners' Society has called on human rights organizations and UN special rapporteurs to take immediate action to secure the release and protection of these pregnant women.
