Israeli PM Netanyahu: We Will Maintain Air Superiority

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu explained why his country will remain in Lebanon. Speaking at the graduation ceremony of Israeli Air Force pilots, Netanyahu said, "We will stay in the security zone in South Lebanon as long as necessary to guarantee the security of our northern settlements." This statement comes at a time when Lebanon is demanding that Israel withdraw from the "pilot zones" in the south. Lebanon views Israel's withdrawal from these areas as a precondition for participating in a new round of direct talks scheduled to take place in Rome next week.Netanyahu also addressed operations against Iran, reiterating that "Iran will not have nuclear weapons, agreement or not." He emphasized that Israel will continue to maintain its air superiority. "Maintaining Israel's air superiority is a cornerstone of our national security doctrine. We achieve this by continuously improving both our human resources and technology," he said.
