Spain and France Face Growing Wildfire Crisis: Tens of Thousands Evacuated

Spain has declared a national emergency due to wildfires for the first time in its history. Tens of thousands of people have been forced to evacuate their homes. The Spanish government has deployed over 270 emergency personnel and 40 ground teams to combat the fires. The Military Emergency Unit (UME) has also been called to the scene.The Cap Ferret Peninsula in western France has also been affected by the wildfires. The area, known for its luxury homes and popularity with tourists during the summer season, has been fully evacuated, with around 40,000 people leaving their homes. Many were evacuated by boat.
