Iran: Strait of Hormuz to Remain Closed Until US Changes Stance

Iran's Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Muhsin Rızai, emphasized that the US must change its stance and accept Iran's terms. During his meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Tehran, Zong Peiwu, Rızai stated that the opening of the Strait of Hormuz depends on the US's attitude.
Rızai noted that the US must end its war against Iran, release Iran's blocked assets, and bring an end to wars in the region, particularly in Lebanon and Gaza. Iran's other conditions have also been conveyed to the US through mediators.
Rızai stressed that any potential agreement between Iran and Oman regarding the passage route in the Strait of Hormuz should be evaluated separately from the issue of the strait's closure. Chinese Ambassador Zong Peiwu expressed his country's opposition to military attacks against Iran and its support for strengthening relationships among countries in West Asia.
