Iran Criticizes Qatar for Detaining Iranian Pilots

The Iranian General Staff announced that Qatar has detained three out of four Iranian pilots whose planes were downed during a conflict with the US and Israel. The Iranian Armed Forces General Staff has appealed to the International Committee of the Red Cross to secure the release of the detained pilots. The pilots were captured after their planes were shot down in March while on a mission targeting what Tehran described as a 'hostile military base' in Qatar. There has been no confirmation from Qatari officials on the matter. According to Iran's semi-official Fars news agency, the General Staff is taking necessary steps to clarify the situation of the pilots.
