Iran Retaliates Against US: Base in Bahrain Hit by Drones

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that it had launched a drone attack on US targets at the Shaikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain. The attack was reported as a retaliation for the US's recent air operations against Iran. Iranian drones targeted electrical generators, navigation systems, and administrative and support infrastructure of the US military at the Shaikh Isa base. The IRGC also claimed to have hit the Al-Azraq Air Base in Jordan with ballistic missiles, destroying three F-35 fighter jets and killing some US soldiers. The attack came after the US conducted a new air operation against Iranian territory and Iranian forces in the region. The US had resumed its air strikes against Iran on the night of July 8, accusing Tehran of attacking commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran views these operations as a violation of the agreement signed three weeks ago, which aimed to end the conflict. Iran has stated that it has retaliated by targeting US targets in the Middle East.
