US Ignored Intelligence Warnings in Iranian School Attack

According to a CNN report citing three sources close to the matter, top US military commanders failed to heed database warnings about the currency of intelligence on targets in Iran. The report stated that messages exchanged between intelligence and military officials emphasized the need to reevaluate targets based on years-old intelligence. One of the sources stated that US military officials quickly realized their mistake after the attack, saying, "They realized what mistake they made in the days following the attack."
