The Probability of a US Ground Operation in Iran Approaches 70%

American political scientist Robert Pape stated that the probability of the US conducting a limited ground operation in Iran is highly likely. Pape mentioned that this probability has approached 70% and may occur within a month. Pape argued that the US cannot achieve its goals with air strikes alone and that developments on the ground may force the US administration into a ground operation.
As the crisis deepens, Pape noted that military and economic developments may compel the US administration to undertake a ground operation, stating, “This process is starting to get out of control.” Pape claimed that the economic crisis, which the US President is trying to prevent, is now becoming unavoidable, and that the crisis will further escalate with the pressure on energy flow in the Red Sea.
