Iran Claims US Attacked Its Under-Construction Nuclear Power Plant

According to a statement from the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization, the US launched an attack on the under-construction nuclear power plant in Darhovin, located in the southwestern province of Khuzestan.The organization noted that the attack is a violation of international law and constitutes a clear crime.Construction of the nuclear power plant in Darhovin began in December 2022. The plant, which will operate on a pressurized water reactor system, is expected to take around 8 years to complete and cost approximately $2 billion.
