Iran and Oman Talks Do Not Mean Immediate Reopening of the Strait of Hormuz

It has been reported that even if an agreement is reached between Iran and Oman, the Strait of Hormuz will not be reopened immediately. The Tehran administration defended that the process is not related to the US, while linking the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz to a change in Washington's attitude.According to a report by the Iranian Radio and Television Corporation (IRIB), negotiations on ship traffic regulations are being held only between Iran and Oman, and the US is not a party to these negotiations. It was stated that even if an agreement is reached between Iran and Oman on ship traffic, this does not necessarily mean that the Strait of Hormuz will be reopened immediately. The statement also suggested that the reopening of the strait is dependent on the US changing its attitude and Iran 'correcting its violations'.
