Iran to Ukraine: Attack on Ship in Caspian Sea was Intentional

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ismail Bekayi stated that the attack by the Ukrainian military on an Iranian ship in the Caspian Sea was intentional.Bekayi noted that Tehran will take all necessary steps to investigate the matter and hold Ukraine accountable. The Iranian official also expressed concern over Ukraine's activities in the region.

A structure that has been a party to a four-year conflict and is seeking support through 'unconventional' methods intends to carry out a false flag operation in our region. This poses a great threat to the entire region. We are maintaining our contacts with the Iraqi authorities on this matter.

Iran announced that it will mobilize all legal and diplomatic means to hold Ukraine accountable for its actions.
