New Appointments in Iran's Armed Forces

Iran's religious leadership, led by Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has made significant changes to the command structure of the armed forces.New appointments have been made to Iran's top military commands, including the position of Chief of Staff.The office of Iran's religious leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, has published a decree outlining new assignments for six high-ranking commanders and officials in the armed forces.According to the decree, Major General Ali Abdullahi has been appointed as the Chief of Staff of Iran's armed forces. Brigadier General Keyumers Haydari has been appointed as the Deputy Chief of Staff.Brigadier General Ahmed Vahidi has been promoted to the rank of Major General and appointed as the Commander of the Revolutionary Guard Corps, while Major General Mustafa Izdi has been appointed as the Deputy Commander.Rear Admiral Ali Azmai has been appointed as the Commander of the Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy, and Hojatolislam Hussein Taib has been appointed as the Head of the Basij Militia Organization.
