Iranian Parliament Speaker Kalibaf to US: Era of Coercion is Over

Iranian Parliament Speaker Muhammad Baqer Qalibaf stated that the recent US attacks have violated the agreement between the parties, saying 'The era of coercion and pressure to extract concessions is over.' Qalibaf made the statement on his social media account, claiming that the Washington administration has breached some provisions of the 14-point agreement. He argued that the US has continued its military threat, launched attacks on the cities of Sirik and Bandar Abbas in southern Iran, reimposed sanctions on Iranian oil, and continued Israel's attacks on Lebanon. Qalibaf said, 'The era of coercion and pressure to extract concessions is over. This method will not yield results. We will not back down.' The US had launched an attack on the cities of Sirik and Bandar Abbas near the Strait of Hormuz in Iran. In response, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that it had struck over 80 military targets in retaliation for Iran's attacks on commercial ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
