Iran Warns Gulf Countries Against Collaborating with the US

Iran's National Security Commission Chairman, Ibrahim Azizi, responded to the joint statement issued by the US and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). Azizi warned the Gulf countries that collaborating with the US would not bring stability and security to their countries.
Azizi stated, “Missile power, drones, and the management of the Strait of Hormuz are Iran's red lines. The only solution to ensure security in the region is to distance themselves from the US.” He also mentioned that hosting US military bases would not provide security for the Gulf countries, but rather turn into a source of threat.
The tension between Iran and the Gulf countries is affecting the regional balance. The US and GCC foreign ministers stated in a meeting yesterday that negotiations should continue to reach a final agreement with Iran.
