Iranians Bid Farewell to Former Leader Hamaney

In the Iranian capital of Tehran, a massive farewell ceremony is being held for former leader Ali Hamaney, who lost his life in US-Israeli attacks.Millions of Iranians attended the ceremony, filling the streets from Demavend Avenue to Imam Hussein, Revolution, and Azadi squares. Some Iranians were overcome with emotion, and lamentations were heard from loudspeakers on the streets. Additionally, local music from various regions of Iran was played on some streets.The ceremony in Tehran was attended not only by residents of the capital but also by people from different cities across the country. Some Iranians who came from outside the city set up tents in parks and spent the night there. During the ceremony, slogans were frequently chanted against the US and Israel, and Iranians wore black clothes, which are considered a symbol of mourning, while some wore local attire.On the streets where the ceremony took place, water and various drinks were offered to the public to prevent heat exhaustion, and breakfast was also distributed. Many streets leading to the ceremony area were closed to traffic, and citizens had to travel long distances to reach the area. Some citizens who had difficulty walking were transported to the ceremony area by ring routes established at certain points.
