Iranian President Pezeshkian Discusses Economic Challenges

The economic challenges in Iran appear to have worsened in recent times. Iranian President Mesud Pezeshkian has evaluated the economic situation in his country. Pezeshkian stated that Iran's economy has entered a more difficult phase following the tensions with the US and Israel. He emphasized that high prices are due to increased costs and the decline in oil sales, which has resulted in reduced government revenues.According to the Iranian press, Pezeshkian, in a speech at a meeting, noted that imported products were previously transported to Iran through more direct routes, but now they are being brought into the country through different routes. This situation has increased the final cost of products, he said. Pezeshkian also drew attention to the decline in Iran's government revenues, explaining that the decrease in oil sales has negatively affected the country's income.
