Iran Brings US Attacks to UN: A Clear Violation of International Law and Memorandum of Understanding

The Tehran administration reported that the recent US attacks blatantly violated both the UN Charter and the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, thus notifying the UN Security Council and the Secretary-General.Iran's Permanent Mission to the United Nations sent separate letters to the President of the UN Security Council and the UN Secretary-General regarding the US attacks on the country.The letters stated that the US had openly breached the UN Charter and international obligations by carrying out large-scale military attacks targeting Iran's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Iran emphasized that these attacks clearly violated Article 2, Paragraph 4 of the UN Charter and were also contrary to Article 1 of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.
