Iran Condemns US-Saudi Attacks on Iraq: Inhumane, Provocative

Iran's Foreign Ministry condemned the US and Saudi Arabia's attacks on Iraq. The attacks targeted official Iraqi institutions and rest houses serving Shia pilgrims. Iran's Foreign Ministry stated that these attacks are seen as part of 'Washington and Israel's efforts to expand conflict in the region'.In its statement, Iran's Foreign Ministry emphasized that the attacks violated Iraq's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and breached the United Nations Charter. The Ministry described the attacks as 'criminal, inhumane, and provocative acts'.The Ministry extended its condolences to the families of the Iraqi victims and reaffirmed Iran's 'full support and solidarity' with the Iraqi government and people.The Iraqi Presidency reacted to the joint attacks by the US and Saudi Arabian armies on Iraq. On July 29, a joint air attack was launched on Iraq's Kerbela city.The attacks resulted in the deaths of four members of Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps and 20 members of the Iran-backed Hashd al-Shaabi group.
