Iran-US Relations: No Direct Talks, Only Messages Through Intermediaries

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi stated that there are currently no negotiations between Iran and the US, only message exchanges through intermediary countries.
In an interview with the Mehr news agency, Arakchi said that Washington has violated the agreement signed between the two countries and that the resumption of talks is not possible unless the US addresses these violations.
Arakchi noted that intermediary countries are continuing their efforts to create a basis for the resumption of negotiations. Iran has reiterated its stance that it will not return to negotiations unless the US addresses the violations it has allegedly committed.
The Iranian minister also stated that the change in the maritime routes in the Strait of Hormuz is a technical and legal matter, and does not mean the reopening of the strait.
