IOC Official Website Reopens Russia Section

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has reopened the Russia section on its official website following the reinstatement of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROK) membership on July 7.The relevant page on the IOC site includes the address of the ROK, its official website, and the names of Committee President Mihail Degtyaryov and General Secretary Viktor Berezov.The membership of the Russian Olympic Committee was suspended by the IOC in October 2023, citing the inclusion of the “olympic councils” of Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics and the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions into the ROK structure.The IOC Executive Board decided on July 7 to reinstate the ROK membership and recommended the removal of all restrictions on Russian athletes. Following this decision, the Russia section on the IOC's official website has been reopened.
