A Warning to Second-Hand Vehicle Buyers: 'Check Digital Information as Well as Expertise'

As the second-hand vehicle market becomes increasingly digital, consumers need to pay attention not only to the physical condition of the vehicle but also to the information and documents presented in the digital environment.
The President of the Motorized Vehicle Sellers Federation (MASFED), Aydın Erkoç, made important warnings to consumers when buying second-hand vehicles. Erkoç stated that in the digitalizing second-hand vehicle market, the information in the advertisements, expertise reports, vehicle history, and seller reliability must also be checked.
Stating that consumers should pay attention to the information and documents presented in the digital environment during the purchasing process, Erkoç said that digitalization in the automotive sector accelerates and facilitates the buying and selling processes but also brings new risks.
Emphasizing that the trust element is one of the most important building blocks of the second-hand vehicle trade, Erkoç stated that shopping from authorized, registered, and corporate businesses provides significant advantages to consumers.
