Ministry of Interior Sets New Goals Under Animal Protection Law

Minister of Interior Mustafa Çiftçi announced that a security meeting was held with governors within the scope of the Animal Protection Law. The meeting evaluated the construction processes of natural life areas and the transfer of stray animals on the streets to these areas.

Our goal is to bring stray animals together with a safe life, where they will not have to live on the street, without struggling with shelter and food in natural life areas, under the supervision of veterinarians.

The Ministry of Interior will continue to work for the safe living of stray animals. Minister Çiftçi stated that the meeting, held at the Ministry of Interior's Security and Emergency Situations Coordination Center (GAMER), reviewed the studies carried out under the Animal Protection Law. The meeting also received information from governors about the applications in the provinces. Minister Çiftçi emphasized that their goal is to bring stray animals together with a safe life, where they will not have to live on the street, without struggling with shelter and food in natural life areas, under the supervision of veterinarians.
