Interior Minister Çiftçi to Pay an Official Visit to Syria

Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi is set to pay an official visit to Syria to strengthen bilateral cooperation and discuss key issues. During his visit, Minister Çiftçi will hold a series of meetings with high-ranking Syrian officials. The visit is expected to focus on areas such as disaster management, security cooperation, and voluntary returns. The signing of a cooperation protocol on 'Disaster and Emergency Management' between the two countries is also on the agenda. Security cooperation will be a major focus of the talks, with the two sides expected to discuss joint efforts to combat terrorism, smuggling, organized crime, drug trafficking, and border security. Additionally, the voluntary return process of Syrians and the empowerment of the police force through training of Syrian police officers will be evaluated.
