Minister Çiftçi: Police Housing to be Purchased in Istanbul, Working Hours to be Rearranged

Minister of Interior Mustafa Çiftçi announced that new steps will be taken to improve the working hours and living conditions of the police. Minister Çiftçi stated that lojman purchases will be made in Istanbul to meet the housing needs of the police and that vehicle purchases will be stopped this year, giving priority to lojman purchases.
Minister Çiftçi also noted that the working hours of the police will be rearranged to provide payments to personnel who work overtime.
Referring to narcotics operations, Minister Çiftçi emphasized that operations are being carried out targeting all segments of society, with no distinction between famous and non-famous individuals.
Finally, Minister Çiftçi stated that the measures taken during the NATO Summit in Ankara were sufficient and that no problems were encountered.
