Huseyin Basaran: We Were Deceived by Haluk Levent's Promises

The founder of AHBAP Association, Haluk Levent, was among 39 people detained as part of an investigation. The plaintiff, businessman Huseyin Basaran, made statements to the press. The reports prepared during the investigation revealed that the suspects had high-volume financial transactions incompatible with their financial profiles, made large amounts of money transfers among themselves, transferred large sums to gaming accounts, and lost significant amounts of money through these means.

I am a businessman with activities in various fields. I met Haluk Levent coincidentally. We greeted each other and introduced ourselves. Later, these issues came to the agenda.

We do not know Haluk Levent. We were deceived by his fame during the earthquake times. He spoke emotionally about these matters and I can say that he exploited emotions.

Businessman Basaran claimed that Haluk Levent deceived him by taking over his properties worth $60 million under the promise of using them for 'orphaned girls and other social projects', but failed to make the payments.
