Two Oil Tankers Explode in Minelayer Area of the Strait of Hormuz

According to a statement by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, two oil tankers attempting to navigate through the minelayer waters in the southern part of the Strait of Hormuz have exploded. The explosions caused both tankers to catch fire. The Revolutionary Guards stated that the US actions in the region have made the Strait of Hormuz 'insecure' and completely closed. The statement said that exports of chemical fertilizers, oil, or natural gas through the strait cannot be carried out until the US attacks cease. Seafarers were also warned to stay away from mined routes to avoid risking their lives.
