High-Speed Train Project Nears Completion: Travel Time Between Bursa-Ankara and Bursa-Istanbul to Decrease

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that the Osmaneli-Bursa section of the Bandırma–Bursa–Yenişehir–Osmaneli High-Speed Train Project has reached its final stage. Uraloğlu stated that upon completion of the line, the travel time between Bursa-Ankara and Bursa-Istanbul will decrease to 2 hours and 15 minutes. The 201-kilometer high-speed train line is being constructed with a design speed of 250 kilometers per hour. The line will have a capacity to serve approximately 30 million passengers and 59 million tons of freight traffic per year. Uraloğlu emphasized that the Osmaneli-Bursa section has reached its final stage and test runs will begin shortly.
