FSB Operation in Kherson: Agent Planning Attack with Powerbank Bomb Caught

The Russian Security Service (FSB) announced that a Ukrainian agent planning to carry out a terrorist attack on Russian soldiers in the Kherson region with a homemade explosive device disguised as a powerbank has been caught.According to the FSB statement, a 1976-born Russian citizen who was preparing a terrorist act on the instructions of Ukrainian special services in the city of Skadovsk was detained.According to the security services' findings, the suspect, who is a sympathizer of a terrorist organization, was recruited by Ukrainian intelligence personnel via Telegram to carry out sabotage and terrorist acts against Russian military personnel stationed in Skadovsk.During searches of the suspect and his address, a powerbank-shaped bomb was found.The FSB initiated a criminal investigation against the suspect on charges of "attempting a terrorist attack" and "illegally acquiring/transporting explosive devices."The suspect, who was arrested by the Henichesk District Court, admitted to the crime and is actively cooperating with the investigation.
